We undertook a Box Build project with approx. 320, connection points and using a mix of termination methods including solder, crimp, splicing and lacing. The previous supplier had tested each unit by hand for open and short circuits only. This inevitably led to many wiring errors and field failures.

We designed and built a fully computerised test jig for the unit which meant it could be tested as a 'one hit' operation. This reduced test time from 45 mins to 6 mins and eliminated the wiring errors. Test documentation was sent with each unit thereby increasing our customers confidence in the product and reducing the need for further checks at their premises. In this case we were able to pass on cost savings and a much higher quality product to our customer.
