The customers requirement was for very simple cut and crimped leads but with 1000+ variations all needed in a constantly changing mix of colours, styles and lengths on a 7 day turnaround. The main problem was the logistics, not the manufacture.

We developed a bespoke database for the leads which enabled us to identify commonality across the products, and significantly reduce the number of variants needed. The database was also used to automate the production scheduling for each new order. This has led to better materials planning, more reliable products and a faster turnaround enabling us to commit to a specified time slot for each weekly delivery.
